Tiny Newsroom is operated by Othmane Ouali. This policy explains how Tiny Newsroom at tinynewsroom.com accesses, uses, stores, and shares personal data.
Data we process
We process only the information needed to provide and protect Tiny Newsroom:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, account identifier, and sign-in records.
- Content you provide, including conversation answers, notes, voice input, optional founder images, and generation instructions.
- Explicit stable details from your conversations, such as recurring people, places, routines, projects, and filming preferences, so later videos can preserve relevant continuity.
- Generated-project data, including source summaries, generation status, provider request identifiers, and finished media.
- Billing and credit records required to complete purchases, prevent duplicate charges, and meet legal obligations.
- Technical and security information, such as request logs, error details, and information needed to prevent abuse.
Google Calendar
The Google Calendar connection is currently disabled. Tiny Newsroom does not request new Calendar authorizations or load Calendar data into new vlogs.
If you connected Calendar before it was disabled, Tiny Newsroom no longer reads that connection. You can revoke the existing authorization from your Google Account. Previously generated projects may still contain source information that was included at your request.
How we use data
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
- Conduct the daily conversation and prepare, generate, store, and deliver the vlog you request.
- Load connected source context after you ask us to do so.
- Manage credits, purchases, service limits, and fraud prevention.
- Diagnose failures, maintain reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process data to perform our contract with you when we provide the service; with your consent when you enable device permissions; for legitimate interests in security, abuse prevention, and service reliability; and to comply with legal obligations for matters such as billing and tax records.
Service providers and transfers
We disclose data only as needed to operate Tiny Newsroom, comply with law, or protect users. Providers may include Clerk for authentication, Cloudflare for hosting and storage, GitHub for source context you connect, OpenAI for realtime conversation and private structured planning, Atlas Cloud for video generation, and Dodo Payments for checkout, billing, transaction taxes, invoices, refunds, and fraud prevention. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Some providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual or legal safeguards. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and deletion
Connected-source credentials are kept until you disconnect the source, request deletion, or the account is closed. Source activity is fetched on demand and is not stored separately unless it becomes part of a project you ask us to create. Stable founder details and recent day summaries are retained to improve continuity in later videos, but they are not injected into a new daily conversation. Account, project, memory, and generated-media data are kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
After a verified deletion request, we delete or anonymize applicable account and project data within 30 days, except limited backups and records that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, or other legal requirements. Those exceptions are kept only as long as necessary for the applicable purpose.
Your choices and rights
You can disconnect GitHub from the Tiny Newsroom Dashboard at any time. If you previously connected Google Calendar, you can revoke that authorization from your Google Account. Removing a connection does not automatically remove source information already included in a generated project.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority. Tiny Newsroom uses AI to create content, but it does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, encrypted OAuth credentials, and private server-side storage to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use personal data.
